B’nai Mitzvah

Our B’nai Mitzvah program is designed to both build community and actualize the vision of a coming-of age experience for each individual and family.

Our curriculum incorporates elements from the most exciting, innovative, and functional programs from synagogues and other organizations.

The core of our B’nai Mitzvah learning remains in our twice a month Core Sunday program, focused on history and identity. In addition, students can choose to join the B’nai Mitzvah Workshop Hebrew Pod for language and liturgy.

We are dedicated to maintaining a program where students can learn without focusing on an end date or ceremony. Students that do choose to have a B’nai Mitzvah work one-on-one with a mentor. The mentor guides the students’ learning, and works with families to design and coordinate the logistics of their culmination experience in a location of their choosing. For more information, please reach out to our JLC Director Manda Graizel at Manda@sijcc.net.

In order to participate in our B’nai Mitzvah program, students must be enrolled in Core Sundays.
