Designated Funds @ SIJCC

Now in addition to supporting SIJCC as a whole, your gift can be directed towards a specific fund that you wish to support at SIJCC. Below is a snapshot of what has been supported by designated funds.

Education Fund: 

Support the 2018-19 Education Fund here.

  • ECE teacher workshops and opportunities to develop their skills further including in-depth learning about documentation, developmentally appropriate pre-math and pre-literacy curriculum, affect regulation and conflict resolution in Early Childhood settings, and the use of reflective language as a tool for creating social competence and empathy.
  • New ECE teacher training geared toward creating welcoming environments and smooth transitions for our students, which was felt by all this school year.
  • An enhanced exploratory science curriculum that was partially funded/expanded by a targeted gift to the Education Fund.
  • The annual SIJCC all-staff lunch in August before students return to school offers an opportunity for new staff members to be introduced to the rest of the team, and for the entire staff to come together for this very special annual tradition.
  • Jewish Learning Center developed a complete curriculum for every grade from K-8, in response to the rapid growth of the program.
  • JLC teachers enjoyed a day of training and learning together
  • Special training for all Bar and Bat Mitzvah mentors
  • Implemented Kinderlime to help streamline ECE and JLC administration.


Campus Updates:

  • New Cultural Wing with updated meeting & event spaces
  • New Office Annex housing SIJCC’s program staff
  • New mid-century modern-style arm chairs in the lobby
  • New rocking chair in The Workshop
  • New folding chairs for events
  • New changing tables in both bathrooms
  • New bistro table sets for our "green room" back patio area
  • Funds raised will support the implementation of new basketball/gym equipment

Artists & Scholars:
Support 2018-19 artists & scholars here. (note this designated fund in the comments section)
  • Room rental discounts for local artists or teachers
  • Honoraria for Sunday Symposium speakers
  • Stipends for Culture Lab artists & facilitators
  • Scholarships to ensure that all students can access our programs
  • Honoraria for workshop leaders like Rabbi Finley
  • In 2017-18 we’ve projected giving $45,000 in honoraria, scholarships, discounted rental rates and more to support our community.
