INTRODUCTION
Hello! We are so excited that you are going to be a part of the 2023-2024 Jewish Learning Center program! This page has the answers to many of our frequently asked questions.

JLC Dates and Hours:
Jewish Learning Center takes place 9:30 am-11:30 am.
Teen program takes place 6:30pm-8:30pm

JLC and Teen Program take place at SIJCC (1110 Bates Avenue, Los Angeles CA, 90029). Please endeavor to pick up your child on time. Regularly picking up your student late will result in late fees.
Procare and Constant Contact
Billing, sign-in, and sign-out are done through Procare. To set up your child on Procare please follow the instructions in this article. You will need to have the app on your phone to sign your child(ren) in and out.
We will be sending weekly e-blasts through Constant Contact. If you have previously unsubscribed from SIJCC e-mails you should have received a notice to resubscribe. If you are not receiving JLC emails, please reach out to Lisa Rosenfeld to make sure you are able to receive the weekly JLC e-blasts.
Drop Off and Pick Up Procedures:
JLCs (starting with the 2nd meeting on September 18th) will start in the inner courtyard with Morning Gathering–a time for us to sing, celebrate and be in community with one another. Parents are encouraged to stay for morning gatherings and to shmooze and get to know the other parents–from time to time we will have programming offerings for parents during JLC.
When you drop off your child(ren) you must sign them in on Procare and go through the health screening before leaving your child.
For pick up, grades K-3 should enter through the red gate on Bates Avenue, and grades K-7 should enter through the black gate on Effie street.
Please note there is limited parking in our parking lot and spaces are available on a first come first served basis. For the start of the year, we will be having families enter and exit the parking lot on Effie street.
Children in grades 5 and up may sign themselves out of JLC (but may not sign out younger siblings) with parental permission. Participants in our teen program also need to have this permission slip on file in order to sign themselves out of Teen Program.
To grant your child permission to sign themselves out please fill out this permission slip.
Food Policies:
SIJCC is a nut-free campus. While JLC does not have designated snack time, if you are sending your child with food please make sure it is nut free. We also ask that each child come with a water bottle to help us eliminate disposable cup use.
COVID-19 Policies:
1. Every student, teacher or guest to JLC must be vaccinated and boosted. To submit your child(ren)’s vaccination cards please click here.
2. If your child contracts COVID-19 within 48 hours of attending JLC, please notify Natasha as soon as possible.
3. Mask Policy: Masks are optional.
We reserve to alter this policy as the guidance and situation shift during the coming year. We promise to communicate any changes or shifts to the policy in a timely manner.
If your child is feeling under the weather we ask that you refrain from sending them to JLC.
Billing and Tuition
You will receive your bill on the 6th of each month via email from Procare, tuition is due on or before the 10th. Should you have any issues paying your bill or questions regarding your bill please reach out to Natasha.
