Remembering October 7th: The Story of Adi Vital-Kaploun and Her Family

The Tragedy and the Miracles: The Story of Adi Vital-Kaploun and Her Family

Jacqui and Yaron are the parents of Adi Vital Kaploun, who was living with her husband and two young children on Kibbutz Holit in Israel on October 7, 2023. Adi was murdered in her safe room; Yaron, staying in the nearby guesthouse, was somehow spared; and her boys were kidnapped to Gaza and then miraculously released. This is their heartbreaking and inspiring story.

Jacqui speaks about Adi and many acts of loving kindness shown since her murder. Yaron tells in detail what he experienced on that day on Holit, and the miracles that occurred.

This event is free - RSVP required.

Jewish Learning Center + Teen Group

Jewish learning center

Jewish Learning Center (JLC) is our innovative, experiential Sunday educational program for students grades K-7 which runs on Sundays from 9:30-11:30 am. JLC offers open enrollment over the course of the summer and rolling enrollment as space allows.

Teen Program (8th - 12th Grade)

SIJCC’s Teen Program is a safe space for teens in grades 8-12 to explore the world they live in and discover who they want to be in that world. We do this through social time, exploring current events through a Jewish lens and providing a safe space for teens to discuss issues related to their lives. This program is led by highly skilled and trained teen educators. In addition to providing a safe space for teens, the JLC program hosts parents three times during the school year to discuss issues and challenges related to raising a teen in today’s world. These sessions involve social time as well as discussions facilitated by highly trained experts in the field.
