Make a Name for Yourself:
a Communal Jewish Naming Ritual

SATURDAY APRIL 26th | 10:30 AM | The courtyard at SIJCC

Names connect us—to ourselves, to our histories, and to the generations before and after us.

We invite you to witness and celebrate a beautiful ritual of naming. Whether you are supporting a loved one, curious about the process, or simply want to experience a meaningful moment of Jewish community, you are welcome.

This special Shabbat morning gathering is for those who are receiving, reclaiming, or changing their Jewish name, guided one-on-one by Rabbi Kerry. Together, as a community, we will honor and celebrate these names in a communal ritual led by Rabbi Kerry and our SIJCC B Mitzvah Mentors—Rabbi Ye’ela, Marnina, and David.

If you’ve ever been curious about Jewish naming traditions, our B Mitzvah program, or the mentors who guide it, this is a wonderful opportunity to connect and learn.

Interested in receiving your Jewish name? Learn more here.

This event is free, but donations are encouraged to offset the cost of the event.
