What is the relationship between art & social change? Music and resistance? LA and working creatives? Can artists really change the world?
We’ll explore these questions and more at our upcoming event and book talk for the just released, Shake the City: Experiments In Space and Time, Music and Crisis by Alexander Billet.
Los Angeles is an arts and culture town. Over the decades we have had had countless popular music scenes from jazz to surf rock, from punk to hip-hop, and though beautiful, the creative landscape in Los Angeles can also be punishing, especially to artists and musicians.
Join us Saturday at 6pm for a brief introduction and book talk from author Alex Billet, followed by an open, moderated conversation with Julia Alekseyeva and ending with a social hour for cocktails and mingling.
Copies of the book will be available for purchase.
COVID VACCINATION PROOF REQUIRED AS THIS IS NOW AN INDOOR EVENT (due to rain).
