Throw in attention, intention, and commitment to our collective liberation! Take out passivity, apathy, and, literally.. trash from the LA River!
Join the SIJCC Community and the East Side Jews Activist Collective in a Tashlich river clean-up!
Traditionally, Tashlich is a symbolic casting away of sins, done beside a body of water. Our community Tashlich will be an opportunity to identify and embody our values. We'll gather for a ceremony that connects our Jewish values to our environment, and explores our roles within it. This will then take us down to the LA riverbed for a half-hour long clean-up.
Who: This event is all ages. Everyone is welcome!
Where: We’ll meet outside Spoke Cafe on the LA River bike-path.
When: Saturday October st, at 1pm (but come at noon to join us for lunch beforehand)!
Wear: Shoes or boots that can get dirty, & bring a hat! Gloves and trash bags will be provided.
