Presenting… East Side Jews Second Annual Tu Bishvat Seder!
The Talmud tells us of "pe'ah," a corner of the field un-harvested so that the poor and oppressed can also eat, can also share in the planet's bounty. What does this law of solidarity, of preservation in the name of justice, mean for us today?
The East Side Jews Activist Collective is pleased to invite you to an online Tu BiShvat seder in the spirit of tikkun olam, and the struggle to protect our planet. Rabbi Robin Podolsky will lead us in ritual and discussion of this holiday's strong ecological dimensions, and deliver a Jewish case for a Green New Deal. Special guests tba!
Attendees are strongly encouraged to partake in the eating and drinking customs of this seder…
